You want to break free of the patterns that have been holding you back. You want to be free from panicky feelings and depression and have the motivation to enjoy life.
I am primarily a cognitive-behavioral therapist although I employ mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy, brainspotting and other interventions that are proven to be effective. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) focuses on the now and planning for the future, utilizing practical skills to manage emotions and reframe thinking patterns that are no longer serving you well. I enjoy structure, skills and homework due to the effectiveness of the interventions and because clients often appreciate the tangible formulas that these skills provide for creating real change.
I strongly believe that the most healing aspect of therapy is the connection between the therapist and client. I offer a warm, safe, non-judgmental place to dig in and be seen, utilizing compassion, warmth and humor. Please reach out if you feel like we'd be a good fit!
